Hello my fellow nugs! I have a question about flushing, I'm on day 44 put 10 gal through ea oc my 10 gal pot yesterday then stopped cause I sm doubting if it should happen now. I started seeing amber trichomes.

Hey Dbdub,
I’m thinking you’ve got the terminology crossed up. I didn’t see your trichs well enough to make any determination but I do see that your pistils are changing colors. A scope is needed to see the trichs, it requires about 30/60 X magnification.
What strain is it? Do you know breeders estimate for how long it should run?
44 days is typically too early to harvest.
These are like 12 to 17 bucks, grow shop or online. This is what you need to be able to see your trichs close enough to gauge when it’s time to harvest. There are other models, some have 2 lenses like jewelers loupe or usb microscope type.

Harvest is personal preference really, if ur seeing the Amber u want don’t let us stop u, where r u looking at the trics? Top buds, bottom buds, leaves?

For now top bud. Didnt look in bottom bud not leaves. Will definitely have to spend some time looking this afternoon.
One is a oro blanco other is a haze
I saw all the new pistils and it made me think I should wait a bit

Often with strain names you can search on Seedsman to find the breeder & get stuff like lineage & average run time to harvest, etc. then there is the big European strain finder site too.

Don't look near done, and Haze should be near 10 weeks in flower, or more. Keep giving them bloom nutes.

Flushing is a TOTAL MYTH theres a scientific study on the site somewhere. Save yourself time n headaches

I give nutes all the way to harvest. You cant taste it like ppl say it's all myth. I believe science

Can you takes leaves off during flower as you do during veg? I'm on day 44 and I feel like I should trim some leaves. Seems thick and inner area is a real bright green compared to top of canopy

If there’s big fan leaves covering bud sites I would, just don’t go crazy

Definitely won’t put it back to veg, and if it’s to bushy it’s good to clear it a little for the air flow

Go ahead and give a bit of a haircut. Get it open to some light inside.
