Water straight from the tap (faucet)

i'm about to start the first run in my alien silver pro system , when filling the system do people fill up straight from the tap or let the water sit in a res for a day to bring the temprature up to within exceptable range so not to shock the plant

i'm about to start the first run in my alien silver pro system , when filling the system do people fill up straight from the tap or let the water sit in a res for a day to bring the temprature up to within exceptable range so not to shock the plant

is it some kind of hydro system ? at the least i would let the water off gas any chlorine for 24hrs before using. a lot of folk use RO water when growing if the source is poor. hydro styles of growing are more dependent on decent stable water.
