I can either get 300w of cfl or 150w hid for the same price. Which one would be better?

Hey guys, I'm using basic light sockets that plug directly into a wall and a splitter to turn it into 2 sockets. It says that the socket can have 660 watts so if I use a 105w(400 equivalent) and a 23w(100 equivalent) in one socket safely?

Is it possible that it's cheaper to buy an hid then a cfl set up? With CFLs most the cost comes from the lights that you have to replace. The hid light bulbs only cost around 20 dollars and the money just goes towards the ballast

Whats the point of doing cfl then? It's 8 dollars for a 42w that means you need to get $80 worth af you still need stuff to plug them in and you have to replace them a lot. The only good deal I found was 75 dollars for a good t5 set
