The problem isn’t days to maturity it’s light cycle. It starts to freeze at about the time flowering would start. Plus it’s a very cool and damp time of year. Trust me I’ve tried.
In northern Minnesota it's nearly impossible to grow a fully mature photo outdoors. By the time the light schedule hits 12/12 the night time frost season is here. I grow photo's indoors and can easily grow autos outdoor.
If you're pretty sure on the Trich's you could take one now incase tragedy strikes. You'd at least have something and you could take notes on what you thought of it being 95% cloudy. I like mine like that. Also a low cost trail camera never hurts to see who's visiting in the night. Be it man or...
Interesting. So can I run my old mars led fixtures on a dimmer that I add myself ? Simple dimmer from a hardware store? My thought is to use that instead of raising and lowering in some cases but also to induce stretch in auto's.
( sorry for the hijack )
For not much more you can get a microscope that plugs into a laptop. Super zoom ability and you can save the images. I use a Loupe too but with the scope you can dial right in to 1 Trich if you want to. Very easy to operate.
I'm surprised how many wait for most of the trich's to go amber. I'll have to try it. I use a microscope plugged into my lap top and I harvest at about 10% amber. That's my buzz. All good and good luck.
I use all LED's now but I still have my MH and HPS lights from the past but instead of adding the heat I just added more LED's on the side walls. It really helped develop the popcorn down there.
