Seems like you got your bases covered. Go for it. If anything, you are doing more than many of us do! I'm just a CFL grower with minimum extras and never have any issues. :)
This time of year I always run into low humidity issues but it never seems to affect the plants that badly. In several grows, I've yet to get a reduced yield or anything else go wrong. IMO, low humidity is better to deal with than high humidity which is what happens to me in this summer time...
An excellent idea. I usually wait until around 3-4 weeks but I do end up with some that suck the water down like crazy so they are probably ready sooner.
I actualy prefer the headier highs of earlier harvested strains. I have been thrilled with my 55 day flower sour diesel or kush strains. With proper drying and curing the taste and odor are wonderfully horrific. Almost a psychedelic buzz. Nothing wrong with waiting either but each strain is...
I've had great luck with My CFL setup and won't ever change. I love the stealthiness, no heat, cheap to buy and operate, and damnit.... I get some great yields too. The key is making sure the p,ants are getting everything else they need for optimum growth. Like good airflow, proper nutes, the...
There is no need to increase the dark period. 12/12 is fine. As for feeding, it's best to stop all nutes about two weeks before harvest. Let that be your guide.
I've been using straight CFLs for many grows now and I keep getting excellent buds time and time again. For stealthy, smaller grows there is no reason to use anything else. They are cheap to buy, cheap to run, induce no heat and use hardly any electricity. And, you get nice buds from them...
I'm pleased thus far with Fox Farms Happy Frog mixed with some perlite and a little dolomite. I have a few Kush plants that are about two weeks away from harvest and they are holding up nicely. I feed a light nute mix every other watering. Haven't seen any trouble with mag deficiency or...
I tried the biobizz light mix and don't care for it. It just didn't have enough meat to carry the plant through flowering. Felt it was pretty basic soil. Probably better as an amendment. The regular stuff might be better.
If I may chime in, I wouldn't wait until they droop before watering. IMO, it better to water them right before they start to droop. No need to let the plant get that dried out. I know, cannabis likes drier soil but that doesn't mean letting it sit in the Mohave desert for a day helps it out...
This is entirely possible and I've read such stories too. The thing is though is that once I see nanners on a plant I lose a lot of confidence going forward. Everyone will have to deal with it as they see fit or ar comfortable with. Seeing a few nanners very late in the grow is one thing but...
I have to agree. I haven't seen this too often but when I did its definitely male flowers. Now, will they fully develop and release pollen? Not sure but I wouldn't want to see those on my girls.
I simply use the weight of the pots to determine when to water. Like most noobs, I struggled at first with watering. I was always watering too much or letting the poor things wilt before watering again. Not anymore. This is a great article but honestly, the weight of the pots works best for...
