    Difference between t5 fluro's and t12's?

What spectrum rage bulbs are you using? I use T5's for about the first 3 weeks and then kick on the HPS lights. My tent is 4x8 and I use 2ea 600 watt HPS and 2ea 8-bulb T5's. First grow with that set up yielded just short of 2 pounds.

How much light for 30 plants?

I have a 4x8ft tent that I started 20 plants and finished 12. The room was packed tight. I run two 600 watt and two 8-bulb T5's for a total of just under 2200 watts. My yield would likely have been higher with fewer plants. Had enough light but not enough space.

OldMed Man's Air Pots and a Perpetual Grow

OMM, Good to see you are still around. I have been running crazy. Have a small grow going now but no real time for a journal on this one. Hope you are doing well. We are getting closer to moving your direction. Negotiating on a lot (Maui) now. With some luck we will have a house built.

    OldMedMan's 2nd Grow 5 Strains and AirPots

Nothing bad other than working 7 days a week and long hours. I got sucked in to doing the paint work on a show car being built. Haven't painted since 1988. lol. So working my regular 9-5 and then working on the car to 11-12 every night and weekends. A week away from it will do me good. PM...

    5 leaf or 7 leaf

My last grow I had everything from 3 to 15. No relation to male/female.

first grow i need some help from seasoned growers

Bad choice on the soil. Time release nutes in the soil are very hard on our plants. May be too strong for seedlings.

    Trim fan leaves at harvest

Re: Trim fan leaves at harvest??? I chopped and trimmed at the same time. Trying to do it on a dry plant is a pain. Also the trics on a dry plant are more fragile and can be knocked off during trim. Leaving the leaves on also increases your dry time.

    First timer's Plan, Solid

Re: First timer's Plan, Solid??? Do some more reading here before you start spending money. All the information you seek is here and asked many times. You will have to use nutes or you plants won't produce. Time release nutes already in soil is very bad for MJ. CFL's are fine for growing...

    neuts for a newb

Most of the top brands are the same. My advice would be to pick a brand and use only one brand until you get some experience. I just completed my first grow and chose Fox Farms soil and Fox Farms Nutes. I wanted to eliminate as many variables as possible. Next grow I may try another brand...

    Security Camera Idea

If you are worried look into using wonder board or Hardy-Backer. Both are cement based undlayment used in tiling. They come in 3x5 sheets at H-D or Lowe's. It will slow the spread of fire but not contain it. You cannot fireproof a room. Not physically possible. Even fire rated safes only...

    Curling/twisting leaves?

Looks like low PH to me. Measure your runoff PH. Some soil is natorious for unstable PH levels.

    Security Camera Idea

As a former firefighter I can tell you that it only takes 1-2 minutes for a house to be fully engulfed. That said you have no chance of racing home to catch it in time. Best case is you would be able to dial 911 and report it. If your electrical is up to standard and not over loaded and your...

If a male is left to finish, is it possible for it to polliante the next grow?

Pull them. Pollen can get into everything. It only takes a single spec to violate your next batch.
