San Antonio - Federal agents broke more than 100 pieces of garden furniture inside a warehouse Wednesday afternoon, but it was all part of a large drug seizure.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement seized about 1,000 pounds of marijuana at a warehouse on the city's southwest side. Investigators said they believed the warehouse at 8825 New Laredo Highway was a distribution point where the drugs would be divided.

ICE Special Agent Jerry Robinette said while the smuggling method of paper mache water fountains was creative, it's not uncommon.

"It's actually a little different in the sense they were using this fountain, but it's not unusual," he said. "We've seen them try to circumvent our inspectors at the border by hiding it in the tiles and other types of ceramic products."

The wholesale value of the pot was about $500,000, Robinette said. No arrests in the case have been made.
