Recently new grower, 3rd grow blooming.
I am a rec user and just could not pay the prices anymore. I have a technical background and home brewed my own beer to an obsessive stage. Quit drinking and decided that all the tech expertise was very close to gardening. Ph balance, temps, quality and exact specifications in all aspects yada yada yada.
I currently have a 6x6 closet for veg and seedlings. I also have a 10x8 flower room.
I use cfl for babies and then I use 2x300w LEDs for the balance.
I used 400w hid and 600w hps for first grow though.
I have a private hybrid given to be via clones from an very experienced med breeder and grower.
My first ever grow yielded me 7 oz dried flowers after trimming, from 2 plants. And it kicks my butt! I was pleased with results.
I have had a few newbie mistakes, over feeding mostly. A few clones died here and there.
I am working on it though. This is every bit as addictive as brewing. The personal satisfaction is through the roof.
If only I lived where I did not have to hide.
I wanna come out of the closet so to speak.
