Little Rock, AR. - It was another packed house at Tuesday's medical marijuana commission meeting as they continued to hash out how the industry will be run in Arkansas.

The commission established a $100,000 licensing fee to have a medical marijuana cultivation facility. It will be a yearly fee to renew that license.

Also set was a minimum financial requirement for applicants. The commission agreed that applicants must be able to show proof of a one million dollar bond with $500,000 cash.

At last week's meeting the commission discussed having one cultivation facility in each of the state's five health districts, but this week they removed that language. Instead the most qualified applicants will be awarded licenses and merit will be taken into account for those applicants who are planning to set up a cultivation facility in an area where it will promote economic growth.

The next meeting will be Tuesday January 10th at 3:00.
