Hello, LA-ASA Members and Friends. There is a lot to do in the local campaign for safe access this week. We need everyone to speak up about legislation in Sacramento and Los Angeles, show up for court support, and attend the LA-ASA Chapter Meeting. Here are all the details:

Oppose AB 2650 - A bill introduced in the State Assembly would require every collective in the state to be located more than 1,000 feet from a laundry list of sensitive uses. Visit https://safeaccessnow.org/punbb/viewtopic.php?id=5144 to find out what you can do to help stop this bad legislation. We especially need help from those of you who live in Anthony Portantino's District 44, which includes La Canada, Pasadena, and Arcadia. Please act today. The bill will be before the Assembly Committee on Public Safety on Tuesday!

Court Support for Jeff Joseph - The operator of Organica will be in court on Tuesday, April 13, for a hearing in his criminal case. The hearing is at
9:00 AM in Department 85 in the LA Superior Courthouse located at 111 N. Hill Street, Los Angeles 90012. ASA is seeking to intervene on behalf of members of Organica is a separate civil action brought by the LA City Attorney. Read more at https://www.americansforsafeaccess.org/article.php?id=5951

LA City Council Meeting - On Tuesday, April 13, The LA City Council will vote on amendments adding fees to the medical cannabis ordinance adopted earlier this year. 200 N. Spring Street, in downtown Los Angeles 90012. Get details about what you can do before Tuesday's meeting at Forum message - ASA Forum id=5137
