Autoflower plants not feeling good & are dying, Need Help! Always appreciated!

Himalaya Blue Diesel and an Afgan Kush Ryder Autoflower. They are both 5 weeks and 3 days old or 38 days old.

I flushed them about 2 days ago because they started showing mag deficiency signs and I tried foilar feeding Epsom salts 1 tsp/gallon carefully twice but it didn't work I guess. Plants are so short that I was drowning the bottom leaves pretty much. The lower pistil production was also wet. And the plant smells weird, but always has, just a stronger weird scent now <-- if that made sense. My tap waters hard and is like 8.2 out of the faucet and reaks of chlorine. I always let water in a 3 gal or 1 gal container sit out for 48 hours to 96 hours, pH usually 6.5ish but I have the drop indicator by Wardley and one by General Hydroponics which sucks. Wardleys easy to read.

Before listing all my details and set up details, tell me what my plants scream out to you. Like right off the bat whats it look like? Salt buildup, mag deficiency, calcium deficiency? Could it be root bound already?

Using soil in 2 gal grow bags. 250w HPS. Dresser with a 200 CFM EAP fan, passive intakes, and 2 4" household fans inside. 1 on the light and 1 on the plants.

The Short Stuff Onyx just germed recently. Its only a few days old.

Thanks in advance guys!!!

Ok so the past couple days my rooms smelled like crap. Smells like mold/mildew or similar. I don't know the difference or the smell difference. Thought it was the air conditioner or the drainage from the AC coming forward into the windowsill, but nothing smells over there as far as I know of.

Up close to the plants they smell normal, when smelling the soil thats still wet it smells nasty. The AKR used to have that strong killer smell, now it smells like what my whole room smells like.

Question, what do I do? Can the Onyx get this stuff? Do they need to be cut or can they finish and be made into hash?

EDIT:

I took the top inch or so of soil out like I read on a Google search to do in case it is root rot or mold. I took a paper clip and poked holes down into the soil to help drain better, because it feels and seems like the bottom of half of the grow bags are hard and stuffed. I then made a gallon of 5ml Grow it Green, and 10 ml Flower Power, and 1 tablespoon of Epsom salt. Even though the soil was still wet, maybe 30% max was dried even though the flush was on Wednesday, I believe, last week! I also watered the Onyx with only 6.6 pHed water, first watering since she popped (shes already like 3-4 inches tall). Oh, and the AKR I might have dug up too much soil because she doesn't stand straight up anymore, shes off the side even though I tried straightening her and pushing the bottom circle stalk looking thing hard into the soil.

This is my first grow, but I already want a large grow tent or a TV Armoire cabinet minimum. Sick of the small dresser and problems already, but ya live and learn huh?

Anybody ever had a foul smelling plant/soil? That made your grow room area stink like mold-ish mildew-ish garbage? My room doesn't really smell now, but Ive got a fan blowing into a bowl of some strong smelling general all-use cleaner.

BUMP...

Seriously??? wtffff 420 mag.

I'm sorry that those of us who have not responded and given you the proper instructions on how to fix your most recent problem with in the time frame suitable for you.

Yes, I should of gotten up last night at 2:00 AM and checked to see if you had any problems and then researched for links pointing to where to find a solution to your problem.

I can tell you're from Kansas. And you were a noob once too, guy.

Take a chill pill or kill yourself.

I ordered 10 blue himilayian diesel seeds and they were aweful...Only got a few inches tall(all of them) and only got 3 grams off of the biggest one....But the Lowryders auto Ak#47 were great autos....Just my situation...:goodluck:

Thanks for stoppin in Willoby! Hoping I'll get more than 3 grams out of the HBD (if it makes it) but the Afgan Kush Ryder is definitely pretty small. Keep in mind I transplanted them pretty hardly, and flushed them pretty badly. I am stressing them left and right I feel. But hey, ya live and ya learn right? This is all a learning experience for me.

Thanks dude.

And the Cal Deficiency section directly from that link:
Calcium (Ca) -Macro Nutrient and an Immobile element.

Calcium is another important element that helps the plants cell walls, cell division in making the plants stems, stalks, branches stronger, as well as contributing to root growth, mostly the newer root hairs, Calcium also helps enhancing the uptake of K in the the plants roots. Calcium moves really slow within the plant and tends to concentrate in roots and older growth.

When plants exhibit a Calcium deficiency the younger leaves are the first to show it as well as older leaves. The Leaf tips will die back, the tips may curl, and growth of the plant is stunted. The plant can show a weakness in the stems and branches, as well as a under developed root system that can lead to bacteria problems with roots dieing off. Having slow plant transpiration rates can aggravate the uptake of calcium. Make sure your soil isn’t very acidic, for calcium gets harder to be absorbed through acidic soils, Which leads to having a plant that is deficient in Calcium. The leaf tips, edges and new growth will or may turn a yellow/brown colour that happen in spots and often surrounded by a sharp brown outlined edge and then the leaf tips die back. If too much calcium is given at an early stage of growth it can stunt the growth of your plants. Having to much of calcium will also flocculate when a concentrated form is combined with potassium. The parts affected by a calcium deficiency are the roots. Stem or petiole, young or old leaves.

Too much Calcium will lead to other micronutrient deficiencies. Calcium fixation is caused by many types of mediums such as: clay soils, unbuffered coco and humus. The lime tends to bond to these soils very easily. The stems of the plant will not be able to hold the plant up and will exhibit a white brown in between the veins of the leaves when having too much calcium. Also having to much potassium and or nitrogen will cause a calcium lockout.

Problems with Calcium being locked out by PH troubles

Very acidic soils with excessive potassium, dry and or wet soil. Lack of calcium in the soil may cause too acidic soil. This may cause to Mg or Iron deficiency or very slow stunted growth

Soil

Calcium gets locked out of soil growing at ph levels of 2.0- 6.4
Calcium is absorbed best in soil at a ph level of 6.5-9.1 (Wouldn’t recommend having a ph of over 7.0 in soil) anything out of the ranges listed will contribute to a
Calcium Deficiency.

Hydro and Soil less Mediums

Calcium gets locked out of Hydro and Soil less Mediums at ph levels of 2.0- 5.3
Calcium is absorbed best in Hydro and Soil less Mediums at ph levels of 5.4-5.8 (Wouldn’t recommend having a ph over 6.5 in hydro and soil less mediums.) Best range for hydro and soil less mediums is 5.0 to 6.0. Anything out of the ranges listed will contribute to a Calcium Deficiency.

Solution to fixing a Calcium deficiency
To fix a calcium deficiency you can treat by foliar feeding with one teaspoon of dolomite lime or Garden lime per quart of water, Or Any Chemical/Organic nutrients that have Calcium in them will fix a Calcium deficiency. (Only mixing at ½ strength when using chemical nutrients or it will cause nutrient burn!)
Or you can take crushed up dolomite lime or garden lime in a gallon of water and water it in the soil. 1 to 2 teaspoons per gallon of water, which will be slow acting. Garden Gypsum, which is medium absorption. Limestone, which is medium absorption, Rock Phosphate and Animal wastes which are both medium/slow absorption. Note: Caution when using gypsum to an already acid soil (pH that is less than 5.5) can have a very bad effect on different types of plants by effecting the absorption of soil aluminum, which is poison to plant roots.

Now if you added to much chemical nutrients and or organics, (which is hard to burn your plants when using organics) you need to flush the soil with plain water. You need to use 2 times as much water as the size of the pot, for example: If you have a 5 gallon pot and need to flush it, you need to use 10 gallons of water to rinse out the soil good enough to get rid of excessive nutrients

Hope this helps!

Thanks God! Ive been told Mg deficiency the entire time pretty much. But anyways they hermied on me and now I dont know if I should try to help them or throw them away. Should I pull all the pods off?

Yep, my Himalaya Blue Diesel and Afgan Kush Ryder have both hermied and I'm not surprised being my first grow and them getting transplanted, flushed and basically tortured from my rookie mistakes. Now what? Can I at least cross them and get viable HBDxAKR female seeds? I popped a few of them off to show pictures and will upload today. Short Stuff Onyx is still in there and its just over a week old. Can it be hermied or turned male because of the others?

Thanks

Pull the pods. This will help avoid seeding everything. Crosses from hermied plants tend to show hermaphroditism inn their offspring also, but after alot of breeding this can be resolved, but it takes alot of time. Other plants don't tend to hermie others, just stress and genetics, so don't worry about the onyx, just take care of it.
