Okay so today its day 51 and my northern lights x big bud still only has preflowers on her and she's still growing north also. With that being said I think she is a photo plant that matured in veg after 7 weeks. She is HUGE compared to any other autos I've grown and she has been growing like a photo also. So today I switched to 12/12 to see if it's indeed a photo strain. I hope she is and I hope she goes into bloom and yields me a nice crop which I think she will.

The girl came from a freebie bean so maybe they were mislabeled or something and I got a photo not an auto. I'll keep updating as she grows. My other auto looks awesome the flower to leaf ratio is great.

Hey John. If you look at my first journal you'll see my...cough....auto was definitely NOT an auto...lol These things happen.

How are they doing now?
Hey earth thanks for the reply, well my auto sugar black rose I harvested last night and the northern lights x big bud is defenetely not an auto. I put it to 12/12 and she exploded, tons of hairs and finally buds growing. She's a very big girl though after being in veg for 6 weeks. But she will yield a considerable amount now. I'll upload some new pics of her tonight. I also tried to upload some harvest pics but couldn't get them to upload.

This is the sugar black rose auto by delicious seeds. Only took 46 days from seed to harvest. Very potent little plant too. Very happy and I recommend growing if you like autos.

John they look great man. Nice work! Good to hear you figured out she wasn't an auto. I know waiting sucks but now you have a monster plant to flower
That's amazing with CFLs! Can you share what your set up is?

Yea she's a monster alright. Because I thought it was an auto it was able to mature in the veg state and even pre flowered too. The pics above are my other plant that was an actual auto flower so she's drying right now but the other one is now 8 days into flower and looking amazing and very promising with her yield and quality. I'll post new pics of her tonight so you can check her out. I did a small defol on her lastnight. But my setup is a piece of 14 gauge galvanized steel 30x30 and I bent 10 inch wings on each side at a 45 degree angle and mounted 5 sockets on the top, from there I used 5 "y" socket splitters to make it hold 10 bulbs also on 45 degree angles. I use 10 23w 5000k bulbs for veg and 10 42w 2700k bulbs for flower. I think CFLS are best used from the sides rather than the bottom. Ya know what I mean? That's why I wanted them mounted on an angle to utilize the whole bulb not just the bottom portion when you mount them vertical and hang above plants. I get really great results with it and it covers my 4x2 area also. I'm looking into trying an 8 bulb 4 foot t5 VHO light. I think I'll get even better results with it. Check out the pics I post later tonight of the big girl. Thnks

I like the sounds of your light set up. If you can post a picture of it that would be great.

I look forward to seeing pictures of the ladies

She has a couple weeks left to go, she's a big Ole girl, smells like sweet pineapple with hints of citrus. She's a northern lights x big bud under CFL lighting. Should get a nice yield with her maturing in veg then blooming.

3ft wide and 3.75ft tall. Very dense and heavy flowers, had to pony tail them together just so she would stay up, and not droop over. Lol. Really enjoyed watching this one grow. A really pretty girthy and hearty plant. I highly recommend for anyone looking for an easy high yielding lady. World of seeds is the breeder of this one.
