LA City Council to Vote on Regulations on Tuesday 11/24: Call the City Council Before Tuesday1s Meeting

Americans for Safe Access (ASA) is asking medical cannabis supporters to come back to Los Angeles City Hall for the third time in nine days for what may be the final vote on regulations for patients1 collectives in the city. The City Council will consider the fifth revised draft ordinance and more than forty proposed amendments on Tuesday morning.

What: LA City Council Meeting

When: 10:00 AM * Tuesday, November 24, 2009

Where: Room 340 in City Hall, 200 N. Spring Street, Los Angeles 90012

The City Council heard public testimony in marathon meetings on Monday and Wednesday of last week. It is possible there will not be a public hearing on Tuesday. However, you can arrive early to complete a public speaker1s card for general comments or in case there is a hearing.

There is paid parking available at numerous lots in the vicinity of City Hall, and you can get public transit information at metro.net | Transit Services and Information for Los Angeles County

There is still time to call City Councilmembers and ask them to support changes that will protect patients1 privacy and make it possible to operate collectives and cooperatives in the city. Visit Forum message - ASA Forum id=4324 for details on how to help out. It only takes a few minutes, and makes a big difference!

Thank you for your persistence and participation in this long campaign!
