Not sure if your asking about giving big bud instead of base nutes but you should ad it to your base nutes never ran iconic but have used an additives in other companies base with no problem
Im not familiar with ionic nutes but “BigBud” is a bud booster which is a supplement used on top of your base nutrients. So yes you would use BigBud along side your base nutes

you need to flush every 4 weeks to get rid of salt build up.
I use Fox Farm Bush Doctor Sledge Hammer.
Flushing every 4 weeks is essential to your plants health.

Flushing seems to be debated back and forth. I am with you. I flush mine every so often ( Coco as a medium) but I also try to keep my nutrients at reasonable levels.
What medium is the OP growing in?
You only need to flush them once every 4 weeks,usually when you do a regular watering.
I am growing both hydro and soil and I only flush my soil plants and they perform quite well when I do so.
I always go light on my nutes but I always flush as well.
salt build up causes nute lockout among other problems.
