Breckenridge Looks At Marijuana Regulations

Breckenridge is considering telling medical marijuana dispensaries how and where they can operate in town.

The draft regulations up for discussion Tuesday would bar dispensaries from operating at night to try to prevent robberies. They also wouldn't be able to have signs advertising that marijuana is for sale or be located in the downtown core that's visited by 2 million tourists a year.

About 60 dispensaries have opened in Colorado to serve a growing number of people registered to use medical marijuana. They're not regulated by the state so Breckenridge town councilors decided to come up with rules of their own after a resident announced plans to open a dispensary.

Commerce City is also drafting its own regulations.

Im actually kinda surprised they dont have one already. They have good growers around the area and have a good rep for quality smoke.
