San Bernardino - A forum hosted Thursday by advocates of marijuana legalization drew a representative from only one of the three marijuana measures that will be on the city's ballot, but also drew some sharp questions by supporters of another measure.

San Bernardino voters will be able to vote Nov. 8 for any or all of three measures that would replace the city's ban on marijuana dispensaries and cultivation with regulation.

If two or more of the measures get more than 50 percent "yes" votes, the measure with the most "yes" votes will become law.

Chris Egger, campaign manager for Measure N, answered questions about that regulatory plan from the City Council dais.

Proponents of Measure O and Measure P were invited but did not attend, said moderators William Cioci and Robert Porter, who co-host the KCAA (1050 AM) show "Cannabis Corner."

Measure N would establish a 5 percent tax on gross receipts and allow at least 20 medical marijuana dispensaries, if at least 20 apply.

Measure O would establish other fees, with dueling economic analyses over whether it or Measure N would raise more tax revenue.

Measure P, prepared by the City Attorney's Office, was intended by the City Council as a way to maintain more control over marijuana businesses if residents are inclined to allow them.

Questions came mostly from Cioci and Porter, but when they opened it up to the audience several said they support Measure P instead.

Cioci said another forum is in the works but that he didn't yet have a date.
