Cal-Mag: Best use to supplement soft or R/O water?

We have soft water here, so there is nowhere near the amount of calcium and magnesium present in my tap water that I used to count on. Knowing this, I added the large granular Dolomite lime to my soil to act as a slow release source of the missing minerals.

To date, I have not no problems and my first indoor grow in a very long time is going better than when I was doing this in the mid 90's.

My first set of girls are now 3+ weeks into flowering, looking great, but I did just buy a bottle of the Cal-Mag to begin supplementing when I water. I generally alternate feedings and waterings.

How do some of you with similar situations use this stuff? Or what do you do to make sure that calcium and magnesium that would normally come in with the water still makes it to the plants?

Here's a sample photo of one plant from three weeks ago just before it began flowering.

Thanks for any help you can offer!

Peace.
