Canna Coco Questions

*i do not know if this is where this should go if it isn't I apologize*
I am planning a small personal use space bucket and I'm not interested in high yields just high quality so I am going to be using Canna Coco coir as my growing medium and I've got some auto northern lights seeds as I've read they are harder to mess up. My main question is thus, When using Canna Coco do you absolutely need the other additives? i have the Canna Coco A and B set and Calimag and I'm kinda on a tight budget so I was wondering if the other additives are absolutely necessary

Take a look at my last grow and yield nicodemus. I used 75% Canna Coco coir and 25% perlite and after 2 weeks until 2 weeks before harvest I added Cana A+B
Had many problems, but got there in the end. I did use some blackstrap molasses on another plant which seemed to help with budding, but never used anything else on my main and all turned out fine.
So I would say, no, they are a luxury and not a necessity.
