Making some changes in my grow room and was wondering if a carbon filter is necessary for a 4x4x7 with 4 mother plants? Will be keeping the in-line for circulation in addition to fans but is a carbon filter needed?

I'd say it probably depends on the strain(s) you're growing and your setup. If the strains aren't too stinky in veg, you can probably get by without a carbon filter. Though it they are somewhat stinky, they're only going to get worse as they get bigger.
It probably depends where you're venting too. If you're venting back into the room where the tent is, you'll probably build up an odor in the room. If you are venting outside, the odor has more fresh air to dissipate into. Just my thoughts!
