change the sex?

Ok so i have planted a few plants recently and one is a male, but i heard that if you pick off all the balls it will shock the plant and turn it female. im trying it cuz i have nothing to lose, but has anyone ever heard of this or done it??

I think whoever told you that was a bit confused. People have been known to pick the balls of a plant that has hermied on them to keep them from pollinating themselves and the rest of the garden. Yours is a male, will stay male, so if you have females in the room you need to get him out of there before he pollinates your whole garden.

In Jorge Cervantes's book, Marijuana Horticulture for Medical Marijuana indoors/outdoors, he writes that if you increase the nitrogen , lower the potassium, lower temp., high humidity all contribute to increase of female plants.
So I did and I'll see.

Ultimately it's a 50/50 chance and the more you do the better it is you will get more than a few females to work with.
