My plants have been budding for two weeks now however, there are many dying leaves covering the preflowers. Is it ok to clipp these away to let more light get to the budsites? or should I leave them and wait for them to drop off? Any help would be apprieciated, cheers!!

Re: Clipping dead leaves away??

I usually give a slight tug. If the leaf comes right off then it was time for it to go. Since in the outdoors the wind would have taken care of that naturally. If it gives resistance (might mean there are still active veins/arteries to the leaf) and is still yellowish I just leave it and let the plant suck every last bit of nutes from it and check back in a day or to with a slight tug again.

I'm not sure but I don't really think they are photosynthesizing anymore once they yellow since they lack chlorophyll. But I am pretty sure the plant is consuming the nutrients left in them. My 2 cents..

Whatever works for you though. :peace:
