Cool tube with inline fan no carbon filter not worried about smell

i just got a new grow tent 39x39x79 with a 600 watt cool tube and a 6 inch inline fan, no carbon filter. i had the fan connected to the light sucking the air out of the tent and my temps were rising. then i turned the fan around to where it is now blowing air in and temps are staying around 81. which way is the correct way for the inline fan to go? and if blowing air in is wrong then how do i fix it from overheating sucking the air out?

i would personally have the fan in the grow room pushing air through the cool tube out of the room, if you put the motor at the exit end of a cooltube then the motor has to 'feel' all that heat.

make sure that the tents air intake of cool air down at the bottom of the tent is sufficient to match the extractor or you will cause too much negative pressure and things could heat up due to lack of movable air.

Agreed, the intake is probably too small, and not allowing enough air in.

I had that problem when I used a tent. For my 6" extractor fan I had 5 6" intakes and it still had enough negative pressure to keep it smell proof. Originally when it was overheating it only had 3
