From what I've read. No. Below is a cut and paste from someone who contacted the company.


So I just got the scoop from Nutrilife (makers of sm-90).

SM-90 does not harm or kill beneficial bacteria or enzymes.

So products like Hygrozyme, Cannazym, and Hydroguard are good to go, as well as Mycorrhizal based products.

They said they ran tests so there you go...

Thank you very much I just have a smell coming from my Rez that gets me worried . I use voodoo piranha tarantula and sm90 and sensizyme, do you know what the smell could be ?

Are your roots white?
Water clear or cloudy?
Is it a fresh res change?
I had a smell in mine for a few days after changing water. It went away on its own.

Yeah just changed the water, water cloudy, and the roots are stained so it's kinda hard to tell, my girlfriend said it smells like a potato

Ugh no my roots are brownish but have new fluffy white root growing

watch it close, it might go away in a few days or so. Mine has done the same thing after res change. i describe it as a dirty dish rag.As long as there isnt slime or brown roots you should be fine.

Smell seems to going away. I think I have a brown algae problem, Cause when put more piranha in and my water cleared up half way through the day
