Ill replace the incandescent with cfls, yah think a problem would rise if 18/6???

My closet is not tightly sealed. It has about an 1inch on the top and bottom. Its 2 folding doors, think about all the escaping heat =X

I'll be using reflective foil to keep the light and heat in the closet.

How high should the lights be from the plants???

I'll Be using organic soil mixed with 4 part top soil, 1 part perlite, 1 part peat moss. or mix worm casting, vermiculite, and perlite. I've been looking into pre-mixed top soils and I'm not quite sure which one to get for the right nutrients.

Can't use fox farm, don't live in the states. Can't order either, Fam will be suspicious.

"who the f... is Hanson Edwards? Why is there SOIL EVERYWHERE?!?!!?" Fam
"I Dunno, think its a name" >.> me

I plan on hand watering my plants with distilled water and nutrients when i get them.

I'll be constantly running 1 fan inside the closet blowing out from the opening from the top and 1 fan outside blowing in from the bottom to keep air circulation. My window will be open so its gonna be cool in my room. I plan on getting a humidifier since its still pretty chilly out ,but I'm not quite sure what its used for in the process of all this. My guess keep the plants moist and warm.

If i use scented sprays and plug in air scented thingy-ma-bobs to cover the smell, would it hurt my plants?

Any Opinions/suggestions???

if you use cfl's,your lights should be about 2" from the plants maybe 3". A way to tell is to hold the back of your hand to the light, if its too hot for your hand its too hot for your plants. Weed-free means the soil is sterilized. as for your soil watch out for any that has nutes added..it can cause issues.cos you don't know how much the plant is getting. Yes you can use the same soil through out the whole growing cycle, as for flushing. you would want to flush just b4 you put into flower and 2 weeks b4 harvest.
Since you are new you only want to give plants nutes with every other wartering to be safe.Just make sure you test the warter PH.it should be at 6.0-6.5 .and invest in a good Ph tester. As for the sented sprays and plug ins all these will do is cover the order, you might not be able to smell it but others will. What I have dont in the past is I got some actavated charco and poured it into some nylons and hung in my room, also I have used along with is some ceader sented moth balls. I hung a small pouch on my light outside my front door and in a few places in my house, but never in my grow room. It would be wise to invest in a used air cleaner, and use the charco filter in your grow room.

Hope this helps.. I'm sure others will add their suggestions as well.

Where in Canuckland are you?
Not sure why you need a humidifier...You need your temps between 70-80 and humidity at 50 %.

My best advice to you is to get yourself some ph and nute meters and a digi thermometer that has the humidity reading in it. I'm afraid that spring is coming and your going to be flowering in the summer when its hot out and your ventilation probably wont cut it. Just something to think about.

Capital of Canuckland.

Hmmm The way i see right now is that, it gets pretty damn cold in my room during the late hours so humidifier should do the trick? and yeh ill finish harvesting my plants mid to end of summer. ill be starting in 2 weeks time. waiting on nutes and seeds.

Ill be using these either of these babies using cfl lights:

I don't know how to install fixtures so thats not an option.

Just thought of something, will my plants grow properly if i use 2 23W 6500k and 4 23 2700k cfls throughout the entire grow?

I seriously doubt it. You need ~3500 lumens/sqft for veg and ~5000 lumens/sqft for flowering.

I'd do some more research, get a book, and think this through a bit more.
