Florida: Two Men Arrested In Punta Gorda On Drug Charges

Two men were arrested at a Punta Gorda home after detectives found almost three pounds of marijuana.

Douglas Mark Stroman and 21-year-old Christopher Landry, of Gulf Port, Mississippi, were arrested at around 7 a.m. Thursday at a home in the 600 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

In total, detectives found 1,331 grams grams of marijuana and $5,105 in cash at the home.

According to a Charlotte County Sheriff's Office press release, detectives say Stroman, 20, sold pot to undercover operatives on five occasions in 2014.

Stroman has been charged with six counts of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, six counts of possession of marijuana and six counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Landry was charged with possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.

Stroman and Landry are being held at the Charlotte County Jail.
