Harvesting Question

As most of you people tell me my friends are full of crap. My buddy said when he grew hes he would
rip the plant out with the roots and he would get all the dirt off the roots wash them as good as he could. Then he would dip them into a boiling pot of water. He said something about how it sends all the thc up the main stem and that it takes moisture out of it and then you dont have to hang it upside down.
Any one ever heard of this method?

Definately NOT true.
It's a pot "old wive's tale".
THC forms on the bud sites, it doesn't hang out in the roots and stalk.
Once the plant is ripped up, THC formation ceases within a few minutes at most.
Putting the roots in boiling water does nothing to increase potency.
And it certainly doesn't "take moisture out".
