i was looking at all the sales from christmas and i found led christmas lights for very cheap.. yes the rope style ones. i just bought 10 cases of pure daylight m5 led christmas bulbs. im planning on wrapping my flowering girls up with them for extra lighting. who thinks that this will work? and if you think i will have a problem let me know why please. i figure wrapping a extra led watts around my ladies wont hurt. ive been reading that each m5 led bulb is around 100 lumens and around 1.5 watts and there are 75 on each rope..

Thinking along the same lines I bought a string of 100 red xmas LEDs. Upon closer inspection I can see that its a white led with red plastic lenses. The blue ones have blue lenses, etc. These won't do anything for growing plants. They look bright to the naked eye at night. Nice for decorations though.

Automotive LED brake lights I have seen use diodes that make real red light which is what you want for bloom. Daydream about that for a while.
