Has anyone used the Adjust-a-Wing?

I'm thinking about replacing my vented hoods, 2 1000w, with the wings. I know a lot depends on room size and all that, but just curious if anyone has used them in comparison to vents. Plus, am I going to have to replace my balast or wire them in somehow? Kind of unclear on that. Thanks for any info.

ok i see now that the corded ones will fit into the standard ballast connection. but what about yeild size? did it increase anyone's yeild or have any heat problems?
