Have I killed these seeds? Auto fems

Have I killed these. Placed in water for 24 hours. Then put in wet tissue between two plates for 24 hours.

After 24 hours I opened and looked and they both cracked open thier shells and a tiny tap root popped out. I put back in plates and into dark warm room

Another 35 hours later the riot has not grown anymore. A further 24 hours and still No change. Total of 72 hours now and the tap root not coming out any further.

I have placed them in ore soaked soil carefully. Root down and covered lightly but have a feeling thier dead.

Any idea what I may have done wrong so I know for next time?

Did the paper towels ever dry out, even once?? How wet did you keep the paper towel? Did you just keep it damp, but not soaking?

Looks like you might be more experienced than I, so sure you know this

Know they are from a good source?

once the taproot pops, it's time to carefully transplant them into something like a rapid rooter
or just transplant it into your medium
not sure why you're holding things up here

According to Crop King Seeds, with the paper towel method, the tap root should grow between 1/2 to 3/4 inch before planting. I'm sure it wouldn't make a big difference though...

I'm 1 for 9 with the paper towel method! hahahaha. I always let it dry out.. Peat pellets have worked 100% of time for me!

They were kept damp and dark. Never dried out.

I usually wait till I get a good inch long tap root before transplanting. For some reason the tap root after popping just would not stretch anymore. I have planted now but not holding up much hope. Just wondering if I did anything wrong.

I'v never had one that didn't take once the taproot sprouted

Only thing I could think of is possibly drowning the taproot if the paper towels were too wet. Or, they'll get going just fine once they get in your medium!

what I'v always known is once the taproot shows, it's into your medium it goes

One more thought..

Were the plates placed together in a way oxygen wouldn't have gotten in? Just reading this now in Crop King Seeds little magazine they send with orders.
