Hello! I am a new member

Fipronil - the yellow jacket solution

Just thoroughly mix 8 drops of 9.7% fipronil into 1/4 can of wet cat food (the little bastards really like Little Friskies Ocean Whitefish Dinner).

Don’t add more than 8 drops. The objective is for the wasps to take the bait back to the nest and feed it to the larvae and queen. The entire nest will then be wiped out. :rip:

This insecticide will not harm mammals, but will kill honey bees. So do not mix with sugary substances that would attract honey or bumble bees.

Good luck!

Thank you!

I have been contacted by a guy who is a retired WSU grounds employee. He heard about it and told me what it was.. Voles. YES! Voles ate the outside layer of the trunk... the sweet moisture that seeped from it, attracted the yellow jackets.

so now, of course, I am on the hunt for voles. I have put out those vibrating things, and some mole pellets.. they may have got me this year, but it certainly won't happen again.

Thanks for all your replies and suggestions..
