Hello this is Finally Free, it has more than one meaning. Anyway, I am a new grower. I was given a good healthy Orange kush clone. I was in no way prepared for h
er. She spent 2-4 days just in thebwindow. Then spent about a wk under hps which fried all the elect to my home. I had no nuts or anything. She is in rockwool pearl lite and some sort of biodegradeable
Pot. Anyway then a friend had some nuts and flo lines took her from trying to flower bk to reg. I cant get any nuts for a few days. She is like 4mo old and i want to get some clones from her. 2 questions. Should I take her out and wash all the roots I know r bound n use reg good organic porting soil or make a home made one of those can't remember name where roots r suspended in water with air circulating.also I have read 2 conflicting statements one says clones from top have more hormones others say bottom. Most of them on top are woody. Or should I usr this really nice top as clone.

I don't offer too much advice on hydroponics but I'm not sure if it would even survive the transition...As far as soil goes, if it's badly root bound you could consider root-pruning, or just score the root ball and move into a larger pot.

As far as cloning and hormones go...well, different growth hormones concentrate in different parts of the plant, that's true. Clones taken from lower branches will root quicker and easier than a cutting taken from the top. But that being said, clones taken from the top will still root fine with most strains. I keep bonsai moms, so I only use the tops from an established mom without any problem...I hope that helps.
