Help sick plant

this is my first baby what are some reasons the leaves are turning yellow my ph is between 6.0 and 6.5 i water 3x a day and lights are on 20 on 4 off it is about 1.5 weeks old. its planted in rockwool and i have it on 1/2 strength fert., friend told me the try taking off the 2 yellow leaves. anybody got any ideas

Your seedling looks like it needs some ferts. The advice of your friend to pick off the cotyledons is rubbish. Just give it a chance to grow, amd you should be ok.

Don't pick off your cotyledon leaves, the sprout will surely die if you do. I have no expierience with rockwool so I'm not sure if water 3x a day is too much or is necessary to keep the rockwool moist enough. Maybe another member can chime in and help you with that.

Oh and if your checking your pH your really not that big a newbie.
