Help with lighting?

im just wondering if my plants are close enough to the light the one on the right I think is in veg idk what determines that, and the one on the left I literally just planted and I'm just curious how close to the light they need to be and when I need to up the wattage they are currently under 2 60 watt cfls.

Hello, wish I could give you a definitive answer but unfortunately I do not use CFLs though I do use T-5s when I start plants but I am pretty sure they are slightly different as far as spacing for plants.

Both of your plants are still just seedlings and I would assume that you do not want your light any closer then 6" and no further away then say around 10" I do know once they get a little bigger, say around 3 nodes you can move them to within 4 " but when they are this young you want to keep a little more distance away from them. From what I see your lights look OK as far as distance is concerned, but like I said I do not use CFL's personally
