Over a week's time, state troopers seized more than $1.79 million in cash and illegal drugs in six separate cases stemming from traffic stops on Wyoming roadways.

The largest haul was 207 pounds of marijuana packed in cardboard boxes in the cargo area of a rental truck that troopers stopped for a traffic violation west of Cheyenne on Interstate 80 on Thursday.

The marijuana was of a grade that made it worth about $1.65 million, according to a news release Friday from the Highway Patrol.

Police believe the load originated in California and was to be delivered in New York state, according to the patrol.
