I believe that you are talking about the fingers on the leaf. It can range anywhere from 5 to 9 fingers, although you cannot determine sex by # of fingers if that's what you're wondering.

hey the number of leaves have to do with the purity of the strain, but it doesnt necessarily have to do with potency. I've had some "ducks foot" (three leaf strain) that knocked me on my ass.
