hydro in sunlight?

see i have this general hydroponics aquafarm lying around and was thinking about using it outside, but it seems to me like it would be prone to building up algae. has anyone ever done this? i know you can use hydrogen peroxide to help with algae, but is there anything i'm forgetting about when growing hydroponically outside? :smokin:

The best way I've found to control algae (that I can get even with HID), is to keep the medium out of the light. Cover the top with dark plastic or something? I bet you could do all kinds of stuff you could do?

yeah, the covering would need to be secure to keep rainwater out of the system which could cause algae and throw ppm's off. i might experiment with this...now if only i had a greenhouse!! :smokin:

i already have a female bubblicious plant outdoors, imagine a clone growing in the hydro bucket beside it...

go for it good luck man. keep use updated
