Hydroponic watering?

I think i am going to use an aerator system, bubbling 24/7. I have 5 gal buckets that are about 16" tall. I will be pushing 62gph/2 5" airstones (1 per bucket). I will keep the water level close enough of the basket so that the bubbles will keep the the bottom most medium in the basket fairly moist. I can always set the aerator to the same timer as my lights so that I get good bubbling during the day, but not to overwater at night. I'm not sure what will work best or if this would be overwaterring and promote root rot?

Thanks for the info. I researched a bit more and I agree that there is no overwatering. I am definately going to use some kind of manual watering method until the roots can reach the water directly. I also found info supporting bubbling 24/7 to keep the oxygen up and nutrient mixed. Thanks again for the reply.
