Would This work for HydroPonics?

hello i got this minnow bucket that has and air bubble in it to keep minnows alive longer, i was wondering if i put a net pot in it and the clay rocks would it work like hydroponics.

also, it is ran by a battery would it be possible to re wire the wires to an extension cord so i could plug it in the wall on to a timer?

As long as that "air bubble" works like an air stone and would constantly pump out bubbles then yea it work. Read up on dwc and Deep Water Culture and youll be good.

If the power supply is run by battery it should be 12 volt to convert this to accept a mains supply usualy 240v you could use a transformer designed for spot lights/downlighters and that should sort out your power supply with out over loading your bucket,

yea but i would go out and spend 20 to 30 bucks and build something thats meant to be for hydroponics
