Hi, I am currently having an issue with squirrels digging in my soil, and I am looking for suggestions on how to stop them from doing this. I dont want to hurt the critters, but I also dont want them hurting my girls either. I have 4 beautiful plants, and I care for them very well.

I would invest in a pellet gun. But that's just me! If you don't want to kill them, you could try spreading chilli powder around the bases of your plants or maybe (if they are tall enough) a length of hardware mesh placed around the base of the stalk about 1.5-2 feet tall should keep them away. Unless they really want something from your soil, then it's going to be tougher. They are stubborn and persistent little things. If they are just digging because there is loose ground and it's a good place to hide some nuts for the winter, I think it'll be alot easier to get them out.
