Only if you've been employed by them and use them as a reference on your job application. If they don't know you were employed by another employer that you popped positive on a drug test they won't know anything about it.
The exception is truck drivers and some occupations that have high accident rates. These companies have a company they deal with that keeps all of your employement history on file and these companies have access to it if they pay for it.
