Round Lake Beach - Round Lake Beach and Antioch police teamed up to arrest a man and a woman this week on a warrant that resulted in the confiscation of nearly 400 grams of marijuana, $713 in cash and a 1997 Grand Am.
Arrested was Brandon Alberts, 23, of 1406 Brentwood, Round Lake Beach, and Catrina Wickman, 19, of 103 Model Ct., Round Lake Park, said Lt. Richard Chiarello.
Alberts was charged with felony unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession with intent to deliver. Wickman was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, he said.
The Round Lake Beach Special Operations Unit had been working with the Antioch Police Department for over a month on an operation targeting illegal drug sales.
On Wednesday around 5 p.m. the operation culminated with the execution of a search warrant conducted by the Round Lake Beach SOU and the Antioch Police Department in Antioch.
Following the execution of the search warrant there were searches in Round Lake Beach and Antioch.
Police seized 395 grams of marijuana with a street value of $3,950. The warrant was served at a home in Antioch.
