An operation involving the Revenue's Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs & Organized Crime Bureau and the Finglas / Blanchardstown Drugs Unit took place yesterday morning, targeting drug importations.
During this operation, at a house on Blakestown Road, Blanchardstown, a package was seized by Customs, which contained approximately 9Kgs of herbal cannabis, with an estimated value of €180,000.
Two men in their 50s were arrested by Gardaà at the scene.
Both are being detained at Finglas Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice ( Drug Trafficking ) Act 1996.
