Hi all,
Just set up a 250W system indoors, however I'm a bit concerned about the ballast: I was expecting total system watts to be about 300W, but actually it's using nearly 340W. That means, I assume, that the ballast is using 90W to produce 250W useful power, which is only about 70% efficiency. This causes the ballast to get quite hot (about 65 celcius).
Should I be looking to get a different ballast? Does anybody have any recommendations?
Thanks
