I was just wondering if there is a good time to change the soil mix or whether it is best just to stay with one soil mix throughout the grow.
I am changing from Hydro to soil for my next grow and had bookmarked Bat Mix as my soil of preference. However, through carrying out a little research i discovered that Bat Mix is far from ideal for young plants, from seed for example, due to the high levels of nutrients contained in the mix.
I have therefore been advised to use Plant Magic Soil Supreme, which many people seem to speak highly of. I know a lot of people use the Plant Magic Mix for the earlier stages and then change to Bat Mix once the plants are able to handle the increased EC level.
My question is this: How & when should i change from one soil mix to the other? It may be that i shouldn't change the soil mix at all throughout the growing process, if that is the case then which would be the most ideal soil mix to grow from seed?
