A pot-shop robbery and shooting we told you about last week ended up killing a clerk at the outlet, and police today planned to circulate images of suspects from security video to see if anyone recognized any of the three suspects.

It's been a deadly year for the medical marijuana business, with at least a half-dozen related murders in the L.A. area related to pot shops. Medical cannabis might be legit in California, but it sure feels like the Wild West sometimes in L.A.

The Dec. 15 holdup at 8244 White Oak Ave. was reported at 9:25 p.m., police said.

Cops said the trio escaped in a gold-colored SUV.

The weed retailer had reportedly only been open a few months, and it was not registered with the city as required -- although a judge recently forced L.A. to back down on enforcement of its pot shop regulations.

A 2 p.m. news conference was scheduled at the LAPD's West Valley Division so that photos taken from security video could be distributed to us, the media.

Anyone with information about the heist was asked to call the LAPD at 818-374-7611.
