Light recomendation

Hey,
I'm looking for a 400 W MH light. There are lots to choose from but I want to pay cheap money and get a half way decent one so i do not have to replace it. ($150-$250)
What kind are you using?
How wall does it work?

I understand Cheap or "Value Engineered" is what I refer to it as. Cheap has that cheap sound to it. 400w MH Hydro Farms, standard open hood, not enclosed. Cost was 265.00 + shipping. Have had it 2 years, Quiet Ballast, switchable voltage.
