I am building a grow room that will be 6w x 15L x 8h
I will be growing with aeroponics about 40 plants in a 10ft x 4 area
I am going to try the 12/12 that I have read about here

I was thinking about 1000 hps and using a light mover I was thinking of this one Hydrofarm — Catalog
would this work or do I need to get 2 hps

That's a pretty big space, 2 lights will yield more.

Do you know how much power costs in your area? In California the maximum rate is an astronomical 44 cents per KWH - those two lights would cost you about $400 per month. Most people pay less, so it's maybe $100 per month.

Anyway, that's why I'm a big fan of LEDs. Two of the Haight Solid State PPF-800 lights would work well in that area and take a lot less power.

I would recommend going with a 600 on a mover or possibly 2. You can get them closer to the plants and provide more "available" lumens per watt, more bang for your buck. They also tend to be cheaper allowing for maybe purchasing 2 of them, and also consider they would be cheaper to run (unless running 2). Damn 44 cents per KWH is crazy it's roughly 6-8 cents per KWH here, thank god!
