i have a 400w hydro farm light. what kind of bulb should i use for thr veggie growing? the bulb i have in it now looks blue when the light starts up. can anybody tell me what bulb to use?

i found the box that the bulb came in it says "halides specially formulated for use. now! halide&sodium together in one bulb" that what it says on the box.. the bulb is a 400w..

I believe those are a metal halide bulb with an enhanced red spectrum. That bulb would do well for the entire growth, all my grows are under basic metal halides. To really beef it up, use this bulb for vegging, and then get and High pressure sodium bulb that works in your MH ballast for flowering to really amplify the red spectrum.
