Taking the plunge on my first grow! :)

Strain: truthband 707, a sativa dominant hybrid, although some sites say it is indica dominant so maybe it's around 50/50.

Germinated seeds were put in soil on March 1 2017.

Phone battery is about to die will update asap with details on the grow setup etc etc :) here are some quick pics from day 20 in the meantime :)

This grow will be 2 microgrows run side by side. Here is the first setup....

Cabinet roughly 2ft high with a 1ft square base, makes 2 cubic feet of internal volume.

Lighting is 3 x 23w bulbs. 2 are "cool white" the other is "warm white".

This grow will not be a test of 69w CFL vs 40w LED. This is my first grow so nooooo way I'll be able to control external variables in order to fairly compare cfl and led. So then why do I have 2 set ups??

The reason for 2 different setups is I wanted to see what may be easier to construct and what is more stealthy. The wooden cabinet is far easier to work with than the thick plastic bin. Its so easy to put a nail into the cabinet to hang a light. To hang the led in the bin I had to thread fishing line through holes and it was a bit of a hassle. So far the cabinet is superior when it comes to temperature, the cab will sit at room temperature (18-32 Celsius) and the bin will sit 4 degrees above room temperature.

I "WOOD" only do another microgrow with plastic if it is better at containing smell as the grow progresses.

Here are the 4 babies!
21 days old.
Just about to water them to get my first ph reading of the water runoff, ended up being close in the band of 6.9 - 7.2.

One is fighting back from death. Hard to diagnose as all others are doing fine :S

Two grew with really really funky curly stems so I've trained them over to the side.

The last one seems to be doing fine :)

Humidity in the cab and bin will often rise above 70% for long periods of time. At worst it has been around 85% for several days. It's been a wet wet wet march here.

Here is the ghetto solution.. hopefully! Might need a bigger cup of pool salt. See how it goes :)
