I make my own fertilizer. I am wondering what other growers that make their own also...use for magnesium? {black beans}?. For my potash I use bananas and potatoe skins.
The only problem with using food grade items is that it makes the fertilizer have a shelf life which I do not really have a problem with but it can be a pain in the rump if you dont mark the "best if used by" down.
